Farewell to Vicky, English assistant and trampolining star

Victoria Bramble has been our English assistant for the first term of this school year. Sadly enough, the excellent and popular teacher is going to leave us for Spain soon. Stefan Grafinger, Florian Kierner and Johannes Oberhamberger from this year’s PR-GROUP met Vicky for an interview.

Us: Hello Vicky, thank you very much for coming today.
V: You are welcome.

Us: You have already spent a long time in our school, so what’s your opinion on it?
V: I really like this school, but I don’t think that this school is that old as many students told me. I think it is very strange that every class has its own room, because in England every teacher has his classroom and the students have to move.

Us: You have told us that you have to teach in different classes. Tell us about it.
V: That’s true. I have to work 13 hours a week in quite all classes. Often I can decide what I want to talk about, but other teachers give me special topics, but that’s fine.

A: Let’s speak about our country. Why did you decide to come to Austria?
V: I have been here one time before and I really liked it. Another reason why I am here is that I like snow and skiing and I personally think that the dialects are pretty funny.

Us: Oh, skiing. Are you good at it?
V: Not that good, but my brother is a skiing instructor and he often taught me how to do.

Us: Let’s move on to your sparetime, how do you spend it?
A: Well at first it was a bit difficult and boring for me because I didn’t know many people, so I played a lot of computer games. Now I often go out and have fun with other assistants from all over the world.

Us: You talked about trampolining, can you describe it?
V: It is not that popular in Austria, that’s true. This is the reason why I cannot train now. In England I train 3 times a week and I also take part in different competitions. The more twists you do, the more points you get. My highest score is two and a half.

Us: You will leave us next week, so where do you go to?
V: Yes I will go to Cadiz, that’s an island in the south of Spain. I am looking foward to Cadiz, because I can train again, but I will miss the snow and the people here.

Us: Can you speak the language there and are you excited about it?
V: I can speak Spanish pretty well, better than German but I am also nervous, because I don’t know anybody again.

Us: Thank you very much for the interview. We wish you all the best and we will miss you in our school. Don’t be scared, we liked your jokes.
V: Thank you, too. Good to hear that and good - bye.
